2020 is almost over! (It’s about time…)

It’s been a weird year. Thankfully, it is almost over. We hope you and yours have kept healthy and are staying busy as we look to a 2021 that will make 2020 look like … well, 2020.

It has been a while since our last post, but we’ve been busy building some pretty cool stuff. We’re sharing the highlights in this post below, but much more can be found here. And, as always, we’d be happy to schedule time to talk if you’d like to see our tools live in action!

The ConnectSx Console

Updated UI and Dashboard Widgets

App Design/UI is never really “done.” We’ve spent a bunch of time moving pixels and refining interfaces to make life just a little easier. Search is improved, data validation is more robust … even some of the icons are cooler!

And in keeping with the theme of “easy,” we continue to add useful tools to our dashboard to enable information at a glance and data management with a couple clicks of the mouse. This includes a top level view of outstanding POs, quick access to inventory on hand by catalog number, and front-and-center totals of expired and overdue inventory.

Reporting, Reporting, Reporting

All that data isn’t quite as useful if you can’t report on it in a simplified way. We have built a range of exportable reports including sales, usage, stock on hand, and total inventory by user-defined criteria. Need to figure out your expired stock? We can do that. Want to know how much Joe Reppenstein sold last month and if you paid him commission yet? We can do that too.

Capture Even MORE Data

The core of our platform value is the ability to capture, surface, and use data, and we continue to add even more ways to do just that. Need to create a paper packing slip for transfers and shipments? Done! Want to create custom BOMs for specific trays and sets? You got it! Need to record when invoices and commissions are actually paid? No problem! There’s more, but you get the idea.

Some Plans for 2021

  • Progressive Web App – We’re implementing a new way for users to manage their ConnectSx Console activity from their mobile device. So no more mobile browsers at 2pt font that scroll forever. Oh yeah, and it works great on Android!
  • Additional Reports – We continue to build out reporting features to give users access to the information they need in a format that can be exported and manipulated using their data tool of choice. We’re even going to visualize some of that data and put it on the dashboard. If you have suggestions, we’d love to hear them.
  • More Flexibility with Sales Documents – Because you never know when you’re going to need to send–or re-send–that that sales order form, invoice, inventory list, case information …. We’re working on making integrated emails a seamless part of ConnectSx.
  • More Notifications – We’re beginning to implement configurable email notifications in addition to our standard dashboard notification system. That way, you can choose to get EVEN MORE email in your inbox (if you like that sort of thing).
  • Integrations – We will be working on Integrations with cloud-based financial tools like Quickbooks and Sage Intact, and HIPAA compliant video chat for even more awesome remote support.
